ZENOBIA KLOPPERS

Zenobia is a South African actor and opera singer best known for her SAFTA nominated role as FIELA in the 2021 SAFTA-winning film, FIELA SE KIND. Originally from Namibia, she is of Nama decent and has had a performing career in South Africa that spans over three decades. At the age of forty-seven, she decided that she wanted to explore the craft of directing and began the process of informally training herself through a network of mentors over the course of a year. RIEL is her directing debut and is inspired by her desire to preserve and celebrate her heritage in the medium of film.
